EMU Australia has announced a model search for it’s 2008 “THE NEW FACE OF EMU” advertising and marketing campaign. Open to girls 14-25 residing in the US and Canada, the competition runs for 10 weeks from June 1st, 2007 through until September 15, 2007.
“EMU is looking for an athletically inclined girl who loves the outdoors. She should have a fresh, sporty look to represent the active image of our brand,” said Greg Licht, President of EMU Australia. “The girl we select would be comfortable going on Survivor Outback,” added Licht whose current ad campaign documents a road trip through the Australian Outback.
EMU will feature “Top 10 Weekly Finalists” during a 10-week period with photos and videos posted on the EMU Website. The “Top 10” of each week will then be narrowed to twelve finalists, from which a panel of celebrity and expert judges will select a winner.

The winner and twelve finalists will receive a swag bag loaded with gifts from the Model Search partners. In addition, the winner will receive a one-year modeling contract, a trip to Australia for a photo shoot and placement in EMU’s 2008 national ad campaign along with an acoustic Guitar by Gibson Epiphone and the title of “The New Face of EMU.”
